What are you currently up to?
I am currently working on Spring Summer 2012 and preparing for the Gen Art Fresh Faces show for September Fashion Week. Very excited about this opportunity.
Do you currently sell your collection somewhere? By George in Austin, Texas and Vail in Tokyo as well as on my website.
Are you planning on showing next NYFW?
Again, yes for the Gen Art Fresh Faces, I get to present 10 looks from my Spring Summer 2012 line. I think this is a great way to start presenting for fashion week.
Who are 3 artists past or present who inspire you?
1. Egon Schiele: I love how aggressive the artwork is here but there is still something feminine and beautiful in his work.
2. Jackson Pollock: the colors usually inspire me
3. Chuck Close: I remember seeing his work in San Francisco and I had trouble walking away from his portraits
Where do you hope to be 3 years from now?
I hope to be growing and in terms of being in the right boutiques. I would hope in three more years my brand is more established in terms of people recognizing my sensibility and look. In three years I hope that I am able to expand and explore more into knits and accessories. I would also love to a full and running office with staff!
