Seen at Fashion Indie party

Last week Fashion Indie had a party at Gunbar in the Meatpacking district. Upfront I have to say I hate this bar’s faux punk theme. But aside from that it was a fun event. This is Abigail and Emily from the site Wanderlust. I decided to make this photo black and white so you can really see the textures in Abigail’s coat, bag and boots instead of the garish fake grafitti in the bar.

Gunbar should change its name to Gamesbar. Last week, I tried to see a bartender that sadly works there and the guys in front gave me the runaround. Talk to him, no talk to him, back and forth bs that ended up no way. The first guy kept telling me to come back because they weren’t ready yet while other people were going in. About an hour later, I come back and I still can’t come in because I am by myself which is bs because last year I tried to go and I was with someone. They told me the same bs about not being open yet. The kicker part of this bs, when I told the bartender via Facebook about it, not a word, not expecting anything really but some of kind response. I can’t believe I wasted my time twice.

So if you want to go somewhere to feel like crap, Gunbar is the place, eh oh yeah, Gamesbar.
