Last summer BRAHMIN invited several prominent style bloggers in New York to a special event: we were going to design bags for Brahmin. We were put into teams of 2 or 3 bloggers with one of their designers and given two different styles to design. One of my team’s styles was the clutch. We brainstormed what would be our perfect clutch. For us it needed to be oversized, with an open back pocket to slip our phone or ipad into, have an optional strap and be color blocked. We also decided that it should be an asymmetrical front flap that had a magnetic closure.
Tonight the unveiling of our design happened. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it was to actually hold a bag that I helped design. And I have to say it was a pretty funny coincidence that one of the two color choices completely matched what I was wearing! –sooo not planned!
