What are you currently up to?
I had a tiny amount of “quieter time” the week after the sow. March filled up with styling jobs and I’m heading to Miami for a short vacation and then styling for French GQ. I get back and have some more styling jobs including speaking for DAA (Designers Against AIDS) which I’m a spokesperson for, and a shoot for Fiasco Magazine to shoot my monthly “Style Mode” feature.

I’ll start designing HOUGHTON Spring/Summer 2013 as soon as I move into my new offices on April 1st!

Where can we find your collections? I’m in market now after the launch of HOUGHTON for FW12. It’s an exciting time and you can inquire about sales on my website.

Who are 3 artists past or present who inspire you?
Carsten Holler, Katharine Hepburn, Patti Smith

Where do you hope to be 3 years from now?
I want people to know HOUGHTON, love the clothes, and respect me as a designer. I can only home that my company grows organically and has success. I want to make people smile with my clothes and I hope to see HOUGHTON on women I pass on the street as well as in my favorite stores. I hope I’m having as much fun then as I am now.

Being a new label, I hope this list is a lot longer this time next year! So far I’ve been overwhelmed by the support and love everyone has given me. WWD and Glamour gave me rave reviews the day of my launch which was amazing!
