A new show during NYFW – PARSONS MFA in Fashion Design & Society

Fashion as an agent of change.
Fashion as collaboration.
Fashion as provocation.

From a school known for creating designers “that sell” (Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Donna Karan to name a few)  comes a new MFA program pushing the envelope into the more intellectual/exploratory realms usually considered London’s domain.

I always love to see the undergraduate senior show and I’m equally excited about the inaugural Parsons Fashion Design and Society MFA show at Milk Studios. I will be writing my thoughts after the show on Sunday. In the meantime, check out three of the grads profiled in UP|Coming: Soojin Kang, Ruby Hoette and Lucia Cuba.

  1. Looking forward to reading about your thoughts on it after the show. I personally liked what I saw of Lucia Cuba’s designs (on your blog, of course). It’s very old school countryside, but with a twist.
