Spotlight on MAC at #NYFW Spring 2013 – threeASFOUR

I had the opportunity to shoot MAC cosmetics make-up gurus backstage at some of the shows this season and wanted to share with you the looks. I found myself feeling amazed by how many products it takes to create a look and excited to have all the details so I can try some of these (or modifications of them) myself!

Inspiration: It’s the idea of opening the “Third eye” in purple metallic as it is the colour of the heart Chakra.

FACE
FACE & BODY FOUNDATION— lightly blended over skin to even and tone.
STUDIO FINISH SPF 15 CONCEALER — used only where needed to perfect.
PREP + PRIME TRANSPARENT FINISHING POWDER —applied over skin to polish and set.
HUSH CREME COLOUR BASE — blended above cheekbones to highlight.

EYES
HUSH CREME COLOUR BASE – blended over the eyes to brighten and provide a subtle highlight.
FALSE LASHES EXTREME BLACK MASCARA — applied over curled lashes.
M·A·C PRO RICH PURPLE CHROMA CAKE — used to design and execute base of Chakra design.
M·A·C PRO REFLECTS TRANSPARENT TEAL GLITTER, CORNFLOWER AND GRAPE PIGMENTS —mixed together and applied over Rich Purple Chroma Cake to set.

LIPS
M·A·C PRO PALE LIP ERASE  — patted into lips for a custom nude.
