Jonna in Gerlan Jeans top and hot pink keds
This top is the Poltergeist Cut0out top in slime time print from Gerlan Jeans spring 2012 collection – a label known for its bright and crazy patterns and streetstyle influence. I don’t know if I’d be bold enough to wear lime green but Jonna rocks it with polka dots and hot pink keds.
And we have to give props to her glitter bomb nails.

Platinum blonde Barbie works the neon spring trend
This girl looks like a Barbie come to life. Love the super long platinum hair going on and the signature hot pink top with the houndstooth print. And he’s a better accessory than your average Ken doll –plus you know I love the motorcycle jacket in white!

Hot pink for everyone!
I’ll admit it– I am like a crackhead for hot pink. It’s the color associated with the Barbie doll my mother refused to buy me. (hence I started my own collection at age 14 –but that’s a whole other story!) It’s also the color of the one piece swimsuit with cleavage enhancing ruching I got when I was 12 sans cleavage…still waiting for that too! My point is I love hot pink, but I never ever wear it because really: doesn’t it almost always look cheap & tawdry? So thank you Jake Hammel for showing me a way to rethink this particular pink. Oxfords may just be the best fashion bet for this color. And the matching pocket square a great added touch.
Gala Darling rocks pink and black
Gala Darling is a blogger that seems to be a bit controversial: people think she’s a blogger’s best friend who gives business advice on making a living from a blog or a rich girl living off of a trust fund who pretends to make a living…I neither know nor care (although the fact she took off commenting does give me pause). In any case before I knew much about any of that I took this photo. And anyone who knows me well knows I am almost magnetically drawn to hot pink…even though I never wear it myself! So it’s good to have a little out there in the world! And if you have a more informed opinion of Ms. Darling feel free to comment below!
Pretty in Pink
If you have hot pink hair maybe black is the best solution. The jacket has a great asymmetry and she’s rocking the spiked heels!
