Unless you live under a rock you know Susanne Bartsch knows how to put on a good party. And her new one at Marquee on Thursday nights is no exception and promises to give other Thursday night parties some stiff competition. Relative newcomer to the nightlife scene and friend Michael Fragoso is one of the co-hosts. Between the two they draw a crowd that is eclectic, cool and simply fun.
Last night was the launch party for the Pop-Up shop and capsule t-shirt collection by Galore Media in collaboration with What Goes Around Comes Around. The party was hosted by Galore’s Beauty Editor Cat Marnell, supermodel Andrej Pejic, and Galore editors/founders Prince Chenoa and Jacob Dekat.
“Galore references a lot of eras, from the fifties pin-up bombshell, to todays downtown NY glam girl. This pop-up shop and t-shirt line are a great way to bring it all together,” says Prince Chenoa, Creative Director.
Feb 6th also marks the launch of the new Galore model blogger network on Galoremag.com. The initial bloggers for the site include: Robyn Lawley, Ashley Sky, Staz Lindez, Jennifer Akerman and Andrej Pejic, making Galore a central destination for a behind the scenes look at top models, and a platform for models to grow their personal followings online. In addition to posting directly to the site, the model bloggers will be able to post directly to Galoremag.com using a #galore hashtag in their instagram posts.
“So much of what we do editorially is to celebrate the personalities of models. Here is one more way we can do that by having them tell their stories directly to our audience online,” added Prince Chenoa.
I’m still getting the hang of my new Sony NEX-5R camera that was gifted to me by Sony as part of the Hidden project. I’m creating a body of work that will be shown at the Sony store in Garden City and I’m focusing on night in the city. Here’s a shot of my friend Leo Gugu outside of Greenhouse last night…it won’t be part of the exhibit but gives you a little sneak peek of what to expect!
Super POP color is such a nice switch from the every evening LBD. She’s crazy sexy in a high neck/low side dress in jewel tones and I love his silver jacket. OH! And also her coordinating eyeshadow. NICE!
These girls look like burlesque performers on their night off. I don’t know if that’s true or not –will have to ask Angie Pontani if she knows them. Regardless, I love their matchy match looks and the vintage underwear as outerwear.
